Tapestry "About the vampires"
Material: Wool, Cotton and hemp yarn, dimensions: 3 x 2 m

On this tapestry the vampires appear all blurred and hardly noticeable, like dark spots flying through the air. They circle the centre of the object and become more or less united with the red which dominates the area. The morning is not far off and the bad ghosts disappear.
The vampire in my work is of no sex and it also does not suck blood.
For me he is a symbol for irrational behaviour and worries and for bad dreams and remembrances.
Just like a vampire they visit their chosen victims in the night, rob them of their energy, and disappear in their own shadow during the day. They are actually not real, but for the chosen they can become a sad reality.
