I had my first contact with textile material
in my early youth, when my mother put needle and cotton in my
hands. The material had a fascination for me from the beginning,
which will be with me through all my life.
My first step towards it was in the area of fashion and clothing.
I matriculated my first apprentice years at the fashion school.
But it seemed that I only knew part of the textile art. I then
finished my studies on ''working and creating with textiles''
in the university ''Mozarteum'' in Salzburg, that I could take
my second important step.
Textile techniques are part of various cultural traditions of
people worldwide, that even my ''textile heart'' told me to
travel to these parts, for instance Indonesia (Ikat and Batik).
According to criteria of the rural textile techniques I choose
where to go in order to get to know new techniques, materials
and ideas. In spring 2002 I put my dream into reality and I
had the official founding of:
